Q1. What is “24x7cabs” all about?
A1. 24x7cabs is a dynamic ride-sharing system intended to make your office commuting:
- 3 stage verification process
- Separate women-only groups

Q2. How does it work?
A2. 24x7cabs, uses its patent pending algorithm & automatically connects you with all people who stay very close to your house and travel in your OFFICE DIRECTION. You invite people to join your ride or accept invitations from other members you wish to travel with. Post a ride, the system manages payments between member’s 24x7cabs accounts, thus removing the embarrassment of exchanging cash. Payments are made according to an individual’s home-to-office distance and a fixed per-km charge.
Q3. I leave office at different times every day, will the system work for me?
A3. Yes, most certainly!! The system is designed keeping in mind today’s corporate lifestyle. Set/change your departure time, whenever you are sure of it. The system will show you all possible co-rides TRAVELLING around your time and towards your destination. You can then choose your co-riders.
Q4. Do I have to set my profile for every ride?
A4. No. The system will remember and set your profile as per your preferences of yesterday. All you have to do is invite (accept INVITATIONS of) riders to join you. This is not automated so you can choose who to TRAVEL with daily. It’ll just take you 7-seconds to plan your ride.
Q5. I was supposed to drive 2 people home today, but I have an unplanned meeting to attend to. What can I do?
A5. We all get stuck in unplanned meetings sometimes. We understand and we are sure your co-riders understand too. In this case, just cancel your ride. Else, don’t accept their ride invitations. This is why we call it a “dynamic” ride-sharing system. Your co-riders will automatically be shown other members to ride with.
Q6. What if I travelled with someone once and do not wish to travel with him again?
- YOU CHOOSE who you ride with � every ride, every time. If your frequency does not match a fellow rider somehow, don’t invite them for another ride (and if they do, just click the polite ‘sorry, can’t travel today’ option). That’s it.
Q7. How secure is the system with the people using it?
A7. 24x7cabs is a community built on trust. The 3 stage verification process is an inherent part of the system where we verify the corporate identity of a member, his/her mobile number and his/her identity with a government approved ID proof. The verification information shield shows you the live verification status of all members.
Apart from all this, details like number of rides, community star-rating, previous riders etc. give you enough information to choose the person you are riding with. We also maintain information for all rides, transactions with date and time details as well.
And, it’s always YOU who decides who to ride with. There is no compulsion whatsoever. If you don’t want to ride with someone, don’t. If you have travelled with someone once and don’t want to ride with him/her again, don’t. The system provides you with complete flexibility to choose the people you ride with.
Q8. How does the system verify its members?
A8. We follow a 3 stage verification process on 24x7cabs. All members are verified on the following accounts:
- Corporate employee: All corporations verify their employees before they are employed. We verify if the member is working in the corporation by verifying his email id.
- Mobile number : All members are verified against their phone number mentioned in their profile
- A government approved identity card: This is done manually by our security team. Verification status of all members is shown in their profiles so you can see the verification status and percentage verification completion for all members.
Q9. Is the system safe for women drivers/passengers?
A9. The system lets YOU decide who you travel with and when. As a woman driver/passenger, if you prefer, you can choose to travel with other women in a women-only groups. To activate this, set the respective flag when you set your profile.
Q10. How can I report abuse against a fellow member?
A10. The system is designed on a invite-accept process for every ride. If you are not happy with someone, simply don’t ride with them again. You can also rate the member with 1 star as a feedback. Also, send us am email with firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at +91-9058650611. We take all feedback very seriously and reserve the option to suspend/permanently delete accounts which get negative feedback.
Q11. Can I provide feedback and/or a rating for a person I have travelled with?
A11. After every ride, the system lets you give feedback about each other in the form of star ratings where 1 is the minimum (bad experience) and 5 is the maximum (fantastic experience). Your feedback is averaged out with all the other feedbacks and an overall rating is maintained for each member, which is shown in his profile.
Q12. What is the payment mechanism in the system?
A12. 24x7cabs works on a prepaid token system where Tokens are exchanged between members. It’s designed to be cash-less to avoid daily cash hassles. There are 2 types of tokens on the system:
- Green Tokens: You buy these tokens by recharging your ACCOUNT from the website. You get 1 token for 1 rupee and these are completely redeemable. Whenever you wish to withdraw green tokens, just fill in a withdrawal form online and your entire green token balance will be credited back to your PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT.
- Gift Tokens: These are gifted to members as tokens of appreciation to use and test the system. These can intended to be used to ride on the system. However, car-owners who earn gift tokens can redeem the earned gift tokens as soon as their account level changes from bronze (default level) to silver level. This happens as soon as you exchange 2500 tokens (any) to ride on the system.
The system will first use your gift tokens to settle the payments for your rides. Once they get exhausted, green token transactions will start.
Q13. How much do I pay and when?
A13. Payments on 24x7cabs are simplified for your convenience. All payments happen in tokens. As a passenger, you pay Rs 4.00 / km (including the system usage fee)
As a car-owner, you get 3.25 / km / passenger
System usage fee of 0.75 / km is charged from the driver as well, but only once, per ride, as per his home-office distance.
There is No entry/exit fee, No monthly fees, No membership charges & No withdrawal fee whatsoever.
Q14. What if I have some green tokens in my account and I do not wish to use the system anymore?
A14. You have complete flexibility to withdraw from the system, anytime you want. Your balance, equivalent to the number of green tokens in your account, will be transferred to your personal bank account either through a chaque or a NEFT transaction. Withdrawal requests processing and BALANCE TRANSFER is handled in billing cycles of 15 days. You can also withdraw gift tokens as per Q12 above.

Q16. How do I increase my chances of finding matches with more members of 24x7cabs?
A16. The system uses your house and office address to find relevant matches of co-riders for you. To increase your chances of finding more people to ride with, please make sure your addresses are properly marked on the map. If you still can’t see people in your profile, email us at email@example.com
Q17. Where will people pick me up from? Or, where can I pick them up from
A17. While registration, all our users mention their preferred pick-up points for home and office. These are mentioned in profiles of each user. You can see these details before inviting co-riders or before accepting their invites. To see the profile details, just click on your co-riders name/picture.
Q18. How do I invite someone to ride with me ?
A18. When you login into the website or the app, the home page shows you possible co-riders who are travelling in your direction. Just click “Join-me” to invite a co-rider to join you for a ride.
Q19. How will I know if someone has invited me for a ride?
A19. As soon as you receive an invitation for a ride, you will receive an email, sms, mobile app notification & a website notification (depending on your configured settings). You can then choose to say yes to the ride by clicking “Yes, thanks” or say no by clicking “Sorry, not today”. We’ll update the co-rider accordingly.
Q20. What if I can’t travel at a pre-defined time because of some emergency meeting that has been fixed after I confirmed my travel?
A20. No problem! We understand the corporate culture. Just cancel your travel from the website or mobile app. Your co-riders can then select other members to travel with.
Q21. If I cancel my travel once, can I use the system again in the same day?
A21. Yes. The system will be reset after a complete cancel. Set your time and mode and choose co-riders (just as you did earlier).
Q22. How can I recharge my account?
A22. The account can be recharged only from the website. Click Account -> Recharge to recharge through Net Banking, Credit/Debit cards. We connect with one of the best payment gateway in India. All your transactions are fully secure and authenticated by the payment gateway directly. Click here to go to the recharge page.
Q23. What is the minimum token balance that I need to maintain in my account?
A23. If you are a passenger, the minimum balance in your account should be “your home-office distance (KMs) * Rs 4.00″ i.e balance you need for 1 ride. If you are driving, the minimum balance in your account can be ZERO
Q24. I can’t change my time or status, what could be the problem?
A24. This could be because of 2 reasons:
- Your account balance is low. Kindly recharge by clicking here
- Your ride is already planned for the day.
Please cancel the planned travel first to change your ride details.

Q25. I can set my mode to driver but cannot as a Passenger. What could be the problem?
A25. The current account balance in your account is less than the minimum balance required for a ride. Kindly recharge your account by clicking here.

Q26. Where can I see my account balance on the website/mobile app?
A26. Once you login into your account, you will see your account balance just below your name and profile pic. You can also click on the Account Summary to see the details.
Q27. How do I search for friends on the system?
A27. Click on Favorites in the main menu. Enter your friend’s name in the “search bar” click search. The system will find your friend for you. To add him/her in your profile, just click on their name and click “add to favorite”.
Q28. How can I change my account settings?
A28. Click on “Profile” to change your registration related information.
Click on “Settings” to set/change other settings related to your account.
Q29. How can I change my profile picture?
A29. Just click on your current profile picture. The system will give you an option to upload another picture. You can do this from the website.
Q30. Can I set the schedule for the whole week in advance?
A30. Sure you can. Select the day (of the week), morning or evening ride, mode (passenger/driving) and time. You’ll see the list of possible co-riders for that day. Invite them for a ride or accept their invitations.
Q31. How will I be updated of the pending invitations?
A31. The system has a built-in notification feature which will notify you on the website, email, sms or even on your mobile application.
Q32. I travelled with someone and pressed the “Cancel” button by mistake. Hence the payment did not happen. What can I do?

Q33. I didn’t travel with a friend but pressed “picked-up” by mistake and the payment happened. What can I do?
